SAFC 2 and MAFT question

If i got a MAFT would i still need a SAFC to control my fuel? I am very confused on how to plan out my setup.

No. You can tune with just the translator.

Ture but it would be better to have both. You can get close with the MAFT then fine tune with the AFC. That is how I would go, but you can just do the MAFT.

Some will say yes and some will say no, The new maft you can do fine tuning in 2% increments as with an safc I believe it goes down to 1%.

Im getting a maft on my 92, but more just to open up airflow for the intake, if your going to spend $200 for the maft to control fuel, spend $100 more and get the afc, looks a lot nicer and its adjustable inside the car, so you can drive and tune

I can drive and tune with the maft.. It is right under my cd player and it was easy to bring it inside the car.

Thats true, you could bring it inside the car, i still prefer the afc for fuel control, it also has a lot of other features that the maft doesnt have. Either way its really personal preferance. do you have a pic of the maft in your car? im just curious because everyone i know with them, leave them under the hood.

Yup. I cut the plug off the translator then bought the same gauge wire and wired it through the steering boot. And attached the plug to the other end of the now extended wires, It was easy.
