okay guys my car runs pretty rough and am almost absolutely sure its because of my cams but ill give the story. First of all its a fresh rebuild, (8.5:1 compression/dks1 cams/evo3 16g/safcII/data logger/550cc/walbro255.) And at first I had a timing issue so I had to tear down the front cover and re-time it(was a tooth off.) Got that taken care of. Now it was running terrible and the check engine light was coming on and I was wondering why so I used my data logger and found MAF codes, looked further into it and found the MAF not picking up a signal at all. I realized I didnt have my SAFC-II plugged in so as soon as I plugged that in the signal picked up. Now it just runs crappy. I have a question though what kind of vacuum are you guys getting at idle with these cams? I get about 12 inches of vacuum at idle and about 15 at 1500 rpms.

That sounds normal to me. Did you set timing to 5* BTDC? I did not when I put my head in, and it made it run awful. I broke out the timing light, set it to 5* BTDC, and it's been running like a champ since.

could be my problem, I didnt have a timing light on hand but my buddy is bringing one tonight. Adjust it by moving the cam sensor correct?

Do you have the 255ph pump, You could be overrunning your injectors as well. Just a thought.

Thats what I was about to say, you didnt mention a AFPR. you could be over running the injectors. You should still be close enough on the timing to run good. When I built my motor and went to time it was still at 5*.
