running rich plugs coated in fuel/oil

ok i will start from the begining. i just rebuilt my 2.0 motor everything was replaced. worked out the issues with oil pressure and i was good to go. cranked it over it idles great but my wideband is reading 10.1 which i believe it is running rich. i have a safc but it disconected will this cause my car to run rich? when i go to give it some gas it wants to die out. when i pulled the plugs they are black and wet what is causing this. i just believe thatr the it is dumoing fuel in the combustion chamber. anyone with suggestions please chime in i would like to get this thing up and running.

If the SAFC is disconnected the MAF signal isn't getting through to the ECU. It will cause the car to run extremely rich and in most cases die out since the ECU can't measure the amount of air coming in and shuts the car off to prevent any damage to the engine. Sometimes it does run without it... But you can guess what happens.
