Im leaning towards the 450. Price and ease of install is key. I COULD add an inline in as well. Or the good ol double hanger. Im seeing upwards of 59lbs of flow with this cold weather and a better tune:hellyeah: but. past about 23psi it seems im dropping lean pretty rapidly.

It must be noted that i bought the current pump im using off ebay years ago. ITs a knockoff 255. It has servewd me well but i think its not up to spec with a real walbro. I shouldnt be running out of fuel at 27psi on a 5858.

So what do you guys suggest? Price? Ease of install? Performance?

The 450lph would be more than enough for your setup, especially rewired. However, your fuel lines are a different story. The 450lph will flow too much for the stock return and won't reach full potential with the stock feed and filter.

Well i just found 1 on ebay for 180!! Thats atleast 40 cheaper than anywhere else. Think i should go for it? I plan on going 6an to an aftermarket filter eventually. And, from what you say, i should look into beefing up my return line too. Should that be 6 as well?

Oh yea, the reason im leaning 450 is that i know for sure im going e85 one day(we all do eventually right?) and i wont worry about running out of fuel plus its "e85 compatible", whatever that means.

The easiest thing to do would be to buy a 450 intank pump but even then you're still pushing all that fuel through the stock lines. I think with your turbo you will be ok.

Your other option is to buy another inline 255 or Bosch 044, of course 255 will be a little over half the price of 044 but either one will work. You might have to modify the return fitting in the tank next to the pump to not over run the stock return system.

Check out this thread, it will give you some ideas of what you might have to do.

Big single pump be it walbro 450 or another brand, and rewire with 8 or 10ga. You will need to mod the return and get an adjustable regulator.

I don't see a 5858 moving 59lbs/min @ 27psi on a 2.0 at less than 10k rpm, even at 100% actual VE.. so your airflow numbers might be off a bit. Bet she's a blast though, I loved my 59mm. Things get real fun north of 30 so get a pump that can handle enough corn juice to really lean on her!

Been running the 450 for awhile now. Stock lines on e85. My flow numbers were way out of whack LOL. Wtf was i saying?
I havent seen a problem with the return line being too small. Not over running anything as far as i can tell.

With my maf comps dialed in to 0(even alittle below 0) in the upper hz areas, im flowing a MAX 52lbs/min at around 32-34psi. Fuel is not a problem either. The 450 is holding up well so far.

I paid a hell of a lot more than $117 for it, thats a sweet deal on ebay. Id grab it. Great pump

Ok dead horse I know but hey kick him while he's down! I'm wondering about getting enough pressure through my 6an feed line with a wally 450 intank and a bosch inline .044? When I just had a 255hlp it was fine but now I've decided to feed her for corn juice so should I just use my 6an as a return and buy 8an feed? Or will the 6an still be sufficient?
