Rubbing noise when turning, and slight rubbing noise when going straight.

it started about a week ago. I noticed a slight rubbing noise when i would turn.....but it was completely normal when i was going straight.(it is a rubbing noise not a squeaking noise) Now it makes the same slight rubbing noise when i go straight, but is much louder when turning. The wheels have nothing to rub against under there...and it seams like the tie-rod and ball joints are fine. the axles look good too. the noise seams to go faster as i drive faster too. I have no idea where to check next the driver side hub got changed last year as well.. please help thanks.(i read the other thread but there was no conclusion to his problems.)

what should i look for on the hubs??...the driver side one got replaced last year....but i guess you never know. also the noise seams to get worse when braking....especially when almost stopped.

I would like the answer to this one also. I also had the rubbing that he describes before I blew my motor. Any help would be appreciated

A bad bearing can cause similar problems. The only difference is that I would describe the noise of a bad bearing a growling noise. They will usually make noise when going straight and will get louder when turning one way, but not the other (when you load the bearing.) Sometimes, but not always, you can feel bearing play by jacking up the car and shaking the wheel. There may be play up, down, left and right.
