Just looks like the cluster is bad,no car can rev like that.

well it dies and misfires,its not just the tach.

i would chage your tach, you can probaly pick one up for 20 on tuners!

When the tack jumps like this the car dies and it goes to 0 rpms and stays idle like that then dies sometimes..So how can a mechanical device such as a tach or cluster shut the car off? if that's all your saying is wrong?

It seems like you have a bad ground, Check your batter posts and make sure your battery is good.

my car was doing this as well and my cas was a little loose, check that

I have seen this happen on older chevs when the EGR valve was not workin correctly was shooting exhaust into the intake and killing the engine then the engine was over compensanting for the exhaust possible the EGR is stickin?
