Does 3000 revs sound okay at 65 in 5ht with a Talon TSI AWD. I just think it seems a little high, but I am used to V-6's and V-8's.

That's dependant on your final drive and gear ratios, not how many cylinders you have.

i have a 98 GST manual and at 65-70 im right at 3100rpms.. nothing to worry about its perfectly normal and there still very fuel effiecient as long as you keep your foot out of the boost

yeah that sounds about right cause i am at 3500 at about 78mph but i think this is low compaird to my other car a CRX with a B16 turbo that car is 5250 at 80mph and i still drive that up and down the highway for long trips all the time.

:D

yes the 3000 doing 70 on the freeway was a little hard to get used to, i used to have a 94 tbird V8 that was at about 1800 rpms doing 75. i like the 3k rpms now better cause i have way more throttle response than i did with the V8 that i would have to downshift. or maybe its the turbo.......

wouldnt that be because the v6 and v8 usually have more torque in the lower rpms? therefore more of an overdrive can be accomplished? i drove my moms van yesterday cuz my talons sick and it cruises at like 1500 but when i stomp it, itll kick down and rev up to 5k. i bet id get maybe like 50miles off a tank of gas driving it all the time like that.
