Montreal,
Hey, when I start my car the RPM goes from 1 to 2 I know that normal as the car has to warm up, but then after a while it just goes from 1 to 1.5 and keeps doing that when the car is not moving. What do you think could be the problem? Shouldn't it just stay at 1 if its not moving? Thank's

That's idle surge. It can be caused by numerous things that pop up on these old cars, bad IAC's, FIAV's, vacuum leaks... Does it keep doing it after it's warmed up?

Thanks for the reply, It does it after its been warmed up aswell, but I have noticed there are vacuum pipes that have been taken out of place from the engine, could it be that?

Also ShawnsGarage thank's for the link :p

Best thing to do to keep from having vacume leaks is remove them. It is Harmless and not a performance upgrade. ALOT of people on here including me have done this and it also takes some of the clutter out of the engine bay. Just pull the lines and cap them. Heres some info
