RPM Gauge problems

My RPM gauge has slowly stopped working, it started by only going to about 3000 4000 and now it finally barely works, it barely goes up, car runs fine nothing wrong with it. but rpm's started to take a go a little bit ago and now its barely twitching. I wanna apologize if its been covered. I did search like crazy the last 3 hours, any help would be great. I personally think it just needs a new rpm gauge.

i'd check the ignitor module first. Then if thats good, maybe the motor in the actual cluster is bad.

Yep on a 2g the power transistor (ignitor) drives the tach. Try swapping that first with a known good one. Then suspect the gauge next.

Would it be igniter even if they show perfect on ECMlink?

yes, link takes its tach signal from the CAS, the tach takes the signal from the ignitor directly.
