It's late so I didn't delve into it yet but figured I'd see if anyone has a specific idea of what is most likely my issue.

I figure I'll go back over my vacuum lines / IC piping and make sure everythings tight.

Basically I just got done replacing my starter, coil pack, a couple crappy looking vacuum lines and plugs/wires and an oil change.

Starts up great but then idles rough sounds like it's misfiring or even running on 3cylinders - in revs it sounds okay until about 3000 where it starts to sputter.

Just wondering if to you it sounds like a fuel injector issue possibly? I did pull out the fuel rail when doing the coil pack and had a couple o-rings come off and they seemed worn, just don't have any available so left them the way they were.

Video of it:

Could be a boost leak. Check your Power Transistor, when those start to go bad it will run on 2 cylinders.
Make sure your spark plug wires are in the right order on the coil pack.
Just go back over and recheck everything you did. Make sure you didn't leave a vacuum line unhooked or anything simple like that.

Make sure the mas is plugged in. I know ive over looked that a few times and it idles funky and won't rev past 3k.

everything is plugged in and I've checked to see that everything is tight. also I see my temp gauge isn't functioning now where it worked fine before. ugh so frustrating

Well another day no headway. Pulled everything apart again and put it back together and didn't find anything I missed.

Still running like crap and my temp gauge isn't working. I don't see how my temp sensor could go bad suddenly while I changed a starter & coil pack. Worked perfect before.

At a loss of what to do next.

Still not able to drive this thing because of my issue..

Going to try putting the old coil back on... although I really don't see how my new coil that had 50 miles on it could be bad.

I broke my temp gauge when I changed the intake manifold gasket. The wire for it is just under the A/C temp sensor on the thermostat housing. Make sure that you didn't bump it out or the wire broke. The connector broke on mine, so I just stuck the wire through the loop for now. Comes out every now and then when I hit a HUMOUNGUS bump. As for the crappy idle and crap over 3k rpms. Mine did that because the previous owner put the wires on incorrectly, fixed that and runs perfect. I know a car will run like that when the fuel pressure is too low. At around 1:11 in your video, it sounds exactly like when I turn down my afpr too low. Whats the CEL for also?

No idea it has always had the CEL since I got it even when running fine. Usually comes on after 30 seconds of running. Has new o2 sensor and all.

I have a stock FPR and it's brand new also.
I've checked the wire order numerous times (i'm dumb and I've done that before haha)

I removed all tstat connections and cleaned them and put them back on and my temp sensor is working again.

I noticed when the car is first started, it sounds like it's going to idle perfect, but if I give it ANY gas before its had about 20 seconds to warm up it just starts to bog out really bad.

Might wanna pull that CEL via the beep method, you can find that on google. A boost leak could cause that by messing with the AFR with letting in unmetered air. Try unplugging your throttle closed switch on the TB and see what that does. Its the wire that sticks out of the top of the TB.

I really don't know where I could have a boost leak, I've pulled everything back apart 3 times now that I took apart and put it back together and found nothing.

I'll pull the CEL and I'm going to check my injectors although I don't know if they'd do this.

Well think I may of gotten it. Swapped some spare injectors on and it seems to be fine.

not to insult but make sure your plug wires are in the right order and plugs gapped right. had same problem and it was bad gap

Good stuff! Check if the old injectors might have been dirty. You might be able to save them! Glad I could at least help with the temp gauge!
