RODS! Pauter, oliver, carillo. Which is best for high 500hp street car

I have a 2.3 with wiseco pistons being built right now. I want high 500 or 600 hp but i dont know which rod is stronger and possible for daily driving.

For that kind of power, all of those rods are a little overkill, you would be fine with Scat/Eagles. But since you say it will be a DD, it doesn't hurt to go a little overboard. Any one of those rods will be a great choice, my personal preference would be Pauter.

i like the howards con rods. good to 850hp and still good for street.
they look like a much larger stock rod. good price too,MAP sales them.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of the brands you listed but I agree that some Eagles or Scats would probably be fine for that kind of power level.

yeah eagles are plenty for what you need. a friend of mine made 800whp on an eagle/wiseco setup. not a daily driver but lived for a long time.

Eagle/Scat/Manley H-beam are all roughly the same. Scat is the only one that has the oiling hole that runs from the crank journal up to the wrist pin like stock IIRC.

All of them are good up to at least 700hp. (and higher as mentioned)

Different forces are applied to rods and H-beam, I-beam and X-beam rods are better at absorbing different forces IIRC. (X-beam probably being superior) Maybe just search the different types of rods to answer your question.
