Which is the best piston ring for my car?

I had some issues with my 2nd-gen Mitsubishi Eclipse, and now the piston ring has broken. Which piston ring should I use?

If you are using stock pistons NPR rings are a good quality replacement. If you have aftermarket forged pistons just use whatever brand the pistons are JE, Wiseco, CP, ect

..which may be Total Seal rings, depending on manufacturer.
I assume since you've found that the ring has busted, youre deep in the engine. cleaning up the cylinder walls from a broken ring usually entails a rebore because just a honing won't clean up this kind of damage.
At that point you're picking a new piston size, and new pistons anyway.
Can you tell us what pistons you're going with? They usually all come with rings chosen specifically for that piston already
