What are a few good tests to confirm you have rod knock, for example compression test...e.t.c.
Last Thursday I started my car and I took it for a spin to the store when out of the blue my car would act weird when I began to boost. As soon as psi rises the car would bog and not go anywhere but the psi gauge would show normal readings like if it was running ok. I pulled over opened the hood and can hear a knocking sound when I would rev the engine a bit. It does not stall out/shut off, it does not vibrate rough at idle, no CEL, and to be a little more specific, the noise comes from the front bottom end of the block.
Also can my car possibly be in limp mode? By keeping itself from doing more damage in the internals.
