I know it's tough to find time, but do try and keep us up to date on your projects. Post pics, post write-ups, share info, and most importantly, help keep the racing spirit alive around here. I've been guilty of not being as active in here as I should. Once I get to working on the car I will start posting more photos and updates as to how things are going.

Let's make this a big year for DSMs at the track! (road courses and autoX events, that is)

Please do the same! :thumb:

I'll be more active here as soon as I can be more active in the garage... when it's not 15 degrees. I can't wait for Spring.

That's usually my excuse too. But lately it's been in the 60's a bit more than usual for Jan/Feb... hopefully it will continue into the weekend so I can get out and turn some wrenches.

i would post up progress but nothing on my car has changed. Ill be sure to post up pics/times at the AutoXs i participate in this season. Wish i could be of more use, but i dont know much in the first place.

It will be +6 celcius here in Toronto on Sunday , I will be installing my stoptechs finally, I will post some pics too. Cold it's a bi***.

I tried to keep everyone up to date on the happenings with my car....But it set at a shop for a month and a half waiting on the tranny to be rebuilt and shipped back. Heading to the track this weekend for Round #5 of my series with brand new Stage 3 tranny in the car.

Having a chassis setup guy come to the track for me to corner weight and basically setup my car for me. Been struggling lately trying to find the right setup and he is going to get me sorted. Cant wait to have the car dialed in. Still getting some massive creep in the top end of 3rd gear. Just going to have to try and find out why or stay out of the high 6K rpm range this weekend. Usually shift around 6K anyway so that shouldnt be an issue. Still would like to know what is causing it though.

Just a call to action guys. I know some have already been active. I just want to get those that haven't been or are new to the racing scene involved more. I can already see some projects that will create excitement this season. I just want to make sure we all do as much as we can to add to that excitement.

Lets do it guys. I would love to see more DSMers out at the track and road racing/autoXing. These cars can do more than just go straight :thumb:

Somehow I thought that a lot of activity had simply moved to the blogs and I don't really visit them. It's an additional step I don't enjoy.

That said, until recently, I have done nothing, since things were flatlining around here, combined with single digit temps and tons of snow for 2 months. But there is a hopeful spring/summer on the way.

I'm getting a transmission! (Thanks, Twicks69!) Weeeehooooo!

My car ran on the new engine for the first time today so youll finally see me active again hopefully. Although I was a bit lazy on producing nice articles like the other guys on here.

I am one of those individuals who can be accused of not being active. Look to see more posts from me this year.

I will be running both the full NASA Midwest TT schedule as well as full Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs season schedule as well. Will be a total of 12 full racing weekends, most of them 2 days per weekend. :sneaky:

I plan on running a pretty good schedule this season. I'll be racing in a few Streetwise Grip Racing events, the full HSCC auto-x Night Series(Day Series also, if possible), and getting the car on the dyno. I'll do my best to keep everthing posted.

There's usually about 1 or 2 Streetwise events a month and the Night Series has 7 dates this season. The Day Series dates are still TBA.

STREET-WISE - Drift Racing and Show Series

It's cold. And I'm a whiny bi***.

THat said, my car has been 1 o-ring away from running all winter and I haven't found an extra hour of time to throw the new one in.

I suck. but it is cold. That's my excuse and i"m sticking to it.

Well, I got a great deal on some close out Hankook Z214 tires the other day now all I needed was some wheels for them to go on. Jumped on Craigs list and low and behold someone was selling some Rx7 wheels. 16x8 with a 40mm offset. Perfect for my car. $200 for them and the guy lived 10 minutes from my house. Lucky on those I guess. No pics of them yet (sorry) but they are black "mesh" wheels that go on Rx7's. Perfect for what I want them for and super light.

The tires I got were only $80 a peice so for a full set of wheels and tires it cost $680. Just what I was looking for :D

Amidst swapping in my next transmission I'll be gusseting my Polk control arms and also looking into the Megan ball joints. I may just order them, find a way to make them work if they aren't a direct swap and report back any findings.

In fact, that's exactly what I'll do. :ohdamn:
