Well, I think I'm going to attempt this soon. Although instead of using the F-body part, I'm going to use our stock fuel pump assembly, and some sheet metal to try this.
I found these Facet fuel pumps that would work as "pick up" pumps to feed the swirl tank. The tank would be made such that it can overflow any excess fuel back into the tank.
I think this would be the best solution short of a fuel cell, while not costing all that much money.
I think a "in swirl tank" walbro 255hp, some welding, the pick up pump(s), and a minimum of two pick ups in opposite corners of the stock fuel tank.... I think we'd be in business. I've got the fuel pump assembly thats going in my car sitting around, So I'm going to be updating this with the work/viability of the project to let you all know.
How has it come along?
But I'll do it if I can run my tank at 1/4 and below without killing my car.
