I am getting ready to swap out my loud ass clicking lifters for some new revised 3G lifters, my question is do I reuse my current valve cover gasket (only has 10k on it) or do I just go and buy a new set? thanks in advance.

I would replace it since the motor heats up the gasket and the torque of the bolts press it into place when you go to put it back on more then likely it will leak some where and it may not but why do the work twice when its a cheap part to replace. When I went through school my instructor said if you take the valve cover off always replace the gasket.

You guys really like to throw away money don't you? I don't know about you, but I'd rather save my self $35 (felpro) or $71 (OEM) by at least trying to reuse the "old" one. It's not a vital gasket, and if it does leak, it will only be a tiny amount. I've successfully reused VC gaskets many times with no leaks, with way more miles on them too.

If it does leak, big deal, it takes what? 10 minutes to replace? BFD

Its really a personal preference since its your own car and money. A shops going to suggest it to be replaced if you do it on your own its really up to you. Its no big either way you can not loose to much from the gasket but overall you do not want any leaks is what everyone strives for. So either way its all up to you. There's always a right way to do things and a wrong way and a way that works.

If you do replace it, might as well replace the half moon gasket with an evo metal one. I had much more success with them staying dry.
