I recently bought a 93 GSX and the previous owner had installed a greddy bov on a dejon upper intercooler pipe and I am wondering what parts i will need to return these back to stock so the car is driveable, and also i have access to the same year of a gst for parts and I am trading two Talon rims (the car came with 10 rims) and a few bucks for the parts.

so...
A) what parts will I need
and
B) is this a fair trade for my friend with the parts gst.

When you say return the car to stock do you just plumb the BOV back to the intake or replace the BOV to stock, the UICP and BOV to stock, or ect? A couple different options there, LOL . So lets start at the BOV. Do you know which Greddy BOV it is, possibly pic or part #? I will be able to better help you with that info. Some of the Greddy BOV's have a recirculation kit available (Greddy type RS for example) and then all you would need to do would be buy the hose to recirc.

The Greddy BOV also has a different flange than the stock BOV. If you are looking to replace it all together you will either have to get the pipe reflanged with the correct one or replace the pipe with the stock UICP that is preflanged.

In my opinion I would just go for the recirc kit. You can find it cheaply online starting at around $20.00. :thumb:

Thanks for the info, but yeah i was going to return the uicp back to stock too, and it's the Greddy Type S BOV, I did not know there was a recirc kit available, but the main problem I have is the idle and it dying between shifts. There is a vacuum hose missing from the BOV because I just recieved tech support from Greddy, right now all I want is for the car to be drivable, so would replacing the vac hose help seal the BOV better?

Thank you.

Get the recirculation kit for the greddy bov, and then attach the vacuum hose from the bov to the intake manifold I think it is and it should fix those problems.

Yes, the type S can in fact be recirculated. The idle problem and dying between shifts can be blamed on the missing vac hose. As said in the previous post if one is ran from the BOV back to the intake manifold it should clear that up for you.

Thank you for helping me I'm going to try this tomorrow after classes.

Unfortunately, I have no idea on which nipple the vacuum line should go and the diagram from taboo speed shop will not load in my browser window:( ... does it connect to a1, a2, p, e, or am I completely mistaken?
