Return of the plastic RMDSM lip

Lip showed up today. Got a chance to drop it off at the shop, and snap a couple pics. First impression was, so so... I did not receive any mounting materials like synthetek did, his lip also looked better? What can you do, its from ebay, which is always a crap shoot!

My shop guy said not to worry a heat gun and some nuts & bolts will straighten it out. Hopefully I will be able to get up some better pics to share by the weekend. I'm still waiting for my rims to get back from being powder coated anyways from boblong6.

Is it just a replica of the Extreme Dimensions lip? The design looks the same with a couple minor differences

Ahhh, ok. Wasnt sure which one came first

I think the reason it is looking alright as opposed to good or great is because we haven't seen it on a low dsm. The silver one posted earlier in the thread is not lowered that much. If it was on a car with a lower stance it would look much better imo

I might be slightly lower then Synthetek, but not by much. Still kind of a work in progress, since the lip was wavy as h3ll :notgood:. I didn't have access to a heat gun either so I had to use a torch and piece of metal to try to flatten down some.

I will try to fix over the weekend, as long as I don't break it first.

Here is some pics of it so far. Car looks like sh1t right now, but gives you an idea of what the lip looks like on my car. The lighter is a mini-bic to give you an idea of how high mine is off the ground.

In the pics of mine I had just let it down off of jack stands so it was sitting higher than usual and it was also on hill. Its back on jacks again for a front brake install and some new tie rod ends but when its put back together I will take some new pics of it sitting on flat ground.

Its not the EXACT lip, but its close enough so you can see what it looks like on a low car

After seeing it on the red car...I'm screwed LOL. There is no way I will be able to drive anywhere with it, as I am at least an inch lower LOL. Meh, I'll work on getting another bumper painted sometime, maybe have two bumpers and swap them out for meets/shows LOL. Until then it will just come on and off a lot

So an entire aftermarket bumper cover is $80 shipped...and a puny plastic lip is $120. When is someone just going to make a mold of the bumper with the lip already attached and sell it for $130? :D

Seriously, that would be great. Oh and I got my bumper for $60 with free shipping :) I'm sure it's about quantity though, far fewer lips are made than bumper covers.

Overall it fit very well, I am very pleased with it for the money. I would buy another one no doubt
