GSXTACY CF Front Lip VS RMDSM Plastic Front Lip

Im looking to purchase one of those front lip spoilers soon, but Im still undecided on which one. So I was hoping I can get some advice or suggestions. I know that the Carbon fiber one looks alot better than the ABS plastic one but, which is more durable? I would think that the plastic one is but im not to sure. Im really leaning towards the Carbon fiber lip but still skeptical about it? I just wanna know is the carbon fiber as durable as the rmdsm ones? Please help me out, Joe

I'd just get the CF one, I can't stand the look of the plastic one...

Both of them will break eventually so just get the one that you think looks better

cant fix carbon fiber. plastic is easy to fix tho.

If you buy the Carbon one it needs to be reinforced with fiberglass underneath it otherwise first time you hit the ground with it bye bye $400 so yeah just take some fiberglass matting and resin and make it alot thicker

Get the plastic one and paint it like a light black over even add a little silver flake to a black one.

For how LOW the 2G stock front end is (a full 3 inches) Seriously... there's oriental men more endowed
and then to top that off everyone is lowering their car to make things that much worse.
Are you only planning to track your car to make a lip useful?
Or are your roads perfect and you don't worry about roadrash?

Carbon fiber is pretty much a lighter fiberglass isn't it?
Have we not all seen what fiberglass bodykits turn into?

eh, its kinda inevitable when people do a search for "RMDSM Lip" and answer the thread without noticing the date. Hell, i almost did it too, i really want a damn RMDSM lip to go on front of mine.

i have a MGP colored GST Spyder just like that. That lip looks so freaking awesome on that.

to me, at least, a subtle exterior mod like a RMDSM lip simply enhances the stock 2gB front. Its not a ricey body kit with huge openings or crazy shapes. Its a subtle lip. Nor is it big enough to have any aero advantage at all. Just like the Mach1 chin spoiler everyone runs on the 99-04 GT front ends, just a 2" lip adds hugely to the look/feel of the car, even if it has no aerodynamic usefulness.

There is nothing about the RMDSM lip that is ricey. It simply enhances the front end adding a little more aggressiveness to the already aggressive looking 2GB bumper. Bodykits on the other hand......I won't even go there. And yes most people with these lips that lower their cars scrape it everywhere and inevitably get cracks but to each his own.
