[RESOLVED] What ECU do I have?

Hey guys, im trying to figure out what ECU I have. The car is a turbo model just w/o a turbo. I need to know if its the orgional turbo ecu or if its a na ecu?

the #'s on it are:

MD166255
E2T36572
3113 M

Not sure if its EPROM or not, I havn't opened the case up yet. Can you tell from the #'s I posted? The car is a 1990.

nvm I found a great site to de-code the ECU's. weither its 1g na 1g turbo, 2g na/turbo awd or fwd, there all here, including 3kgt

I was just going to post it's a N/A ECU, which automatically makes it non-EPROM.

From my understanding, NA ECU's can still be EPROM. I know its rare, but its also wrong to say none of the NA ECU's are EPROM.


Also while im at it, My injectors are Blue top. W/o taking them is there a way to ID them. do the NA's have blue top injectors?

only the 450's are blue

This is true, I know because i have one right now, i was hoping to switch it to a turbo eprom, but its not worth the trouble switching, all the caps, resistors, knock sensor circut and all that crap. so its frickin worthless to me unfortunately. but they do exist

To answer this, no they are 450's, the evo 560's have a brown/tan/pink top whichever stage of color blind you are.
This might help a bit, but it doesnt show the evo injectors.

You know what, im gonna put up some pictures of this thing, because alot of people have said that. and i wasnt able to find any info or pictures so..

You can clearly see it has an eprom, but no knock sensor!

When you look at my list, the third line gives the EPROM software ID if I've seen a EPROM version of that ECU. So for example, I've seen a 94 Federal NT EPROM ECU and it has EB20 software. The fact that the other years don't have anything listed doesn't mean that there weren't any EPROM ECU as much as I've never seen one and nobody else has reported to me that they have one.

for 90's turbo federal only work's fine MD128625 or MD145903, for install 91-94 ECU you need make ignition conversion (swap 90 tacho for 91-94 tacho) and swap pins in ECU wire
