so my 91 tsi has been sitting for a year while i was off at school. when i came back it cranks but wont start. ive drained the fuel tank, put in new fuel filters, new plugs, wires, and injector o-rings, along with a new battery and some other misc stuff, but it still wont fire. keeping in mind that it ran perfect when parked. does anyone have any idea as to where i should look for problems next?

thanks, tyler

ONe possibility is the ECU caps leaked, also id check for any leaks in intake or your MAF. After putting new gas in it, it may take a while for the gas to get in the engine. have you cranked it over alot?? Can you check your fuel pressure. have you ensured that your getting a spark, i know you replaced your wire and plugs but are they working???

i cranked it probably 10-15 times in 10 second intervals, it is getting spark to each cyl and the fuel pressure is fine, as i have a gauge mounted under the hood to refer to. compression is 155-160 all the way accross

thanks for the help guys. ive located the problem, camshaft position sensor plug was filled with corrosion and only a partial signal must have been read. cleaned it off and it fired right up. back to running 12's all day ;]
