I had the EXACT same problem....

After driving for a while, the clutch got hard, engagement point went up, and clutch started to slip.
I can't remember which way, but I adjusted the rod and it went away for a while. Then I backed out the upper stop a few turns and it hasn't done it since.

hehe same problem man..everything you just said LOL..
for the upper adjuster..is that the nut i adjust from the picture above??
im guessin clockwise to have more free play? im kinda of confused LOL

Yep, there should be a nut on the upper adjuster that you loosen. Then there is a little black rectangle thing with the bolt sticking out of it. Just turn it counterclockwise you will see the bolt back out. I know its cramped as hell down there, but it helps if you push on the clutch pedal while doing it.

You need to turn the rod counter-clockwise if you are oriented such that you are looking at the firewall. Basically, the rod needs to go INTO the clutch pedal assembly, effectively making it shorter. Just 1-2 turns should do it. Don't forget to tighten your locking nut back up.

hey man what do you mean black rectangle thing?? ..is it on top of the nut i loosen on the cruise control adjuster

i adjusted the rod already ..but im gettimg pump up..been messing around with the rod..but no matter ### seems like i keep getting pump up

Not all pedal assemblies have the black rectangle thing. Just loosen the locking nut, and screw the rod into the pedal assembly, effectively making it shorter, and retighten.

oh yea, isn't it only the ones with cruise control?

O DAMM haha i figured out what the black thing your talking about LOL silly me...sorry
thx for all the help fixed it very much appreciated everyone thx again
