[RESOLVED] Quick fuel pump question

Does the jumper/test wire for the fuel pump go directly to the fuel pump or does it run through relays ecu etc?

My problem is my fuel pump works when 12V is directly applied but the fuel pump will not turn on when trying to start the car. It also does not turn on when trying to use the test terminal.

Also just to double check the test terminal is the black one correct?

The ground for the fuel pump is fine. I have checked that.

no that wire dont go directly back to the fuel pump.

or you could run a separate power wire back to your fuel pump. preferably a larger wire to send more power to the pump during full boost. fix your problem and complete an upgrade all in one. just an idea

Unless you have rewired the car the test/check connector under the hood should just be a tee off the wire from the fuel pump side of the relay to the fuel pump. IIRC the 95 still have the single MPI relays not the two individual relays for the MPI and fuel pump, right.

The wire to the check connector is black with a blue stripe.

that's correct. I didn't even bother to check the mpi relay because it was brand new from mitsu. Turns out the relay was bad. I swapped it out with my spare and the car started right up. Thanks for the quick responses guys.
