Is it normal for your stock fuel pump to whine? Lately I have been hearing it whinning, and it seems like it has been happening ever since I got my exhaust done, i don't know if it's the fuel pump but it sounds like that's where it's coming from.

You check if maybe there is a small leak from when you put your exhaust on if it wasnt sealed everywhere tight? It maybe a small amount of exhaust leaking out or it maybe the fuel pump.. Just making suggestions

would the exhaust make a whining noise though it's not like a hissing noise, and the guy did use a stethoscope on all his welds when he was finished.

well then you can ###### elminate the exhaust making that noise... But your exhaust becoming new wouldnt really interfere with your fuel pump. Another thread i read into is that some one who just installed a new Walbro 255lph fuel pump had his start whining and i believe a few people suggested that it might be that theres not enough voltage going to it.

But on the other hand yours is stock.

Yeah you should do a re-wire when you upgrade your fuel pump. I put a walbro on too and it still felt like I was hitting fuel cut, I did the re-wire, and I have no fuel issues anymore. Hearing your fuel pump shouldnt be new, they are kinda loud.
