[RESOLVED] priming oil pump

I know the ways of priming the pump, but need to know if doing the priming with the motor in the car and fuse out is okay. Or is that the second step after priming the pump. I also notice when I turn the key to ign (not start) the oil pressure gauge goes to hi and after start it goes down to low. I hope this enough info to help me.

that answers the question. doing the cranking of the engine is a secondary thing.
