Hey guys, I have the MMCd software on my palm and I just received my OBD II cable today. I hooked everything up including the hotsync cable to my palm and I get no readings whatsoever. What is the problem? Maybe I don't know how to use the software. If somebody uses MMCd can you explain how to show the data because all my slots are empty. What gives?

Solution
Problem solved guys. I got my new cable today and hooked it up. It worked perfectly. I guess the guys just sent me a bad cable. Thanks for all the advice and comments guys. Ya'll have been very helpful. I want to give a shoutout to steve for sticking with me and helping me through my time of crisis. Thanks.:thumb:
Maybe, or maybe they made it wrong.
Try the new one when it arrives and see what happens. One would assume they check each cable before they ship them but from the number of problems I see on various sites that doesn't seem to be the case.

I got the cable off of http://automotive.miragecorp.com This cable is better to use because it has a connector that fits the 1G Diagnostic Port. So all you have to do is plug it in and that is it, you are ready to start logging.

I was going to buy the on off of eBay but it didn't look like it had a connector. I would have just bought the one from the website above since all you have to do is plug it in and it only costs $60.

Mine has a connector to fit the 1g port too. I still can't figure out what the hell is wrong with it, is there an option to configure MMCd like the pocketlogger software where it auto-detect what the best settings are for the connection?

Not that I know off. What is the problem? What are you hooking up the cable to? What Palm do you have? Are you not getting any readings to show on the screen? You are using MMcd right?
