[RESOLVED] How can you tell a walboro 255 from a 255, 255hp and 190?

there will be a number on the side of it (example: gss342) post it up and I can tell you what you have.

There was a rash of fake chinese walbro's on ebay. I wouldn't touch one just for the fact ebay junk is likely to fail. Real walbro's are as posted, with the symbol and "MADE IN THE USA" stamped on the side of them, there will also be a number. A 255 and 255HP are different from what I've seen.

I had to do the same thing when i got my car but i didn't think to check the numbers before i bought a 255Hp. It turned out there was a 255 in there allready so now i've got an extra. Oh well.

A simple google search of walbro gss341 will tell you it is the AWD HP version of the 255, as was already mentioned. And that last link shows the difference between the HP and non HP. An example of the NON HP would be the gss315 for the 1g dsm.

I guess this ties into this thread but I did some reasearch and this is what I came up with for part numbers:

FWD CARS 90-94
190 LPH GSS-250
255 LPH GSS-317
255HP LPH GSS-342

AWD CARS 90-94
190 LPH GSS-278
255 LPH GSS-315
255HP LPH GSS-341

I know that the 190lph,255hp awd, and the 255hp fwd is right cause I own those pumps.
