You don't want to hot tank aluminum. Just take your time with brake clean on it. Wire wheel if you have to. Or cover all holes and bead blast.

berrymans b-12 will remove absolutly all crud from inside
and out of your intake

i got my intake hot tanked. i had to. had 180,000 miles of crud. looks good and very clean. was 25$. :talon:

I think hot tanking has a pretty bad rap, I have yet to have heard of anyone who suffered damage by it.

I just don't see how I am going to get the inside of this manifold clean without it.

Brake clean works so-so. Carb cleaner works awesome. At least in my experience.

I'm not totally up on the details, but people get their aluminum heads hot tanked.. whats the deal?

It really is not recommended as it can change the aluminum properties. That and if it's not properly rinsed it'll eat away at it.

I am taking some elbow grease and a lot of cans of Berryman B12.

:thumb:
Trust me tho. It wont take mutch elbow greese!
Just a few seconds of soak and then blast that crap out.
A air compressor will help alot.

There are 2 kinds of hot tanks, one for steal and one for aluminum. I already have hot tanked my head and it came out like new. I plan on doing the manifold as well, at the shop.

I knew there was a catch!
