[RESOLVED] FMIC install, what to do with A/c lines?

OK i searched and all the install posts show what appear to be rubber power steering lines running in front of the a/c condensor and people relocate them or zip tie them so they can mount there FMIC. Well I have what appear to be metal a/c lines running in front of the a/c condensor. Are these the same lines everyone is just moving?
 
Sounds like your talking about the power steering cooling line, which is metal & runs infront of the AC core. Some just remove it & loop the rubber line. The method I prefer (& did) was remove it from the front of the support & relocate it to the backside of the brace, using the same bracket (just have to modify it abit I believe). There's room for it there & it won't interfere with the FMIC core.
 
Can you run the a/c lines infront of the FMIC? Or make the a/c blow on your FMIC to make your intake temps cooler, and in turn give you more power...
 
Haha, dude. Do you not realize how the AC works? It has a blower system purposely to put the cold air inside of your car for your enjoyment. Go ahead and try to rig something up. I'll just buy an intercooler sprayer and be smart about it.

Two EFFECTIVE ways to use some type or water or air to cool like this is a water/alky kit and water to air IC and tec nitrous too but that's a nother story. IC spray kits are like electric ebay SC's or tornado fuel savers. Not to mention most kids I have seen with them make a nice hard pull or two spray the kit then make more pulls then spray agian...two words heat cycle :notgood:

Yes sir those are good ideas, but I'm saying free or cheap ways to cool your intercooler. One way I have heard that works, is to re-route our windshield washer sprayers, and spray. Does this work, and how well?

I fully understand how the a/c system works..I am fully certified on vehicle a/c systems. While I was in school learning about this i asked if you could re-route the a/c to blow on our intercoolers. Most of them said yes, and have seen it work beutifly on either turbo or supercharger application using an intercooler.....

Sure but not as good as water/alk injection even though yous using the same stuff(smurf piss) for the cost of a snow performance kit its' not worth trying to cheap out if your really serious about cooler intake temps.

That is completely retarded. Your A/C system is not going to be able to produce enough sub-ambient temp air to be able to do ANYTHING to an intercooler against the ambient airflow that you will get when you are driving at speed.
 
Now that the OP has his original question answered, and we have discussed inefficient ways to cool a FMIC, I think we can call this resolved.
