If it is small, it would certainly not be noticable.

was the dent by any chance caused by the batery tie down? because i know of three people whos intakes were ruined bt it!

My battery tie down rubbed on my intake, lucky I noticed it before it put a hole threw it.
I just pulled every thing over really tight and tighten it all down good and no more rubbing.

Make sure that the dent did not cause any cracks. I quickly looked at mine when I bought the car. When I pulled it out to work on my throttle body, the whole housing was cracked and it had a huge hole. But if its a small dent, should be no biggie.

A hole in the intake of a 420a won't effect performance like it will on a 4g63 - though it does let unfiltered air enter which could lead to potential problems.

to keep the battery tie down from rubbing on your intake i just removed the one rod that rubs and bent the top support just enough to fit snug on the battery worked pretty good for the past few years

Having the same problem, I also bent the rod over a little but to be sure, I cut a piece of black rubber hose and ran it down the rod which acts as a cushon between the rod and the intake pipe.

instead of just bending mine back to clear the intercooler pipes i custom made mine to fit perfectly plus it matches my strut bar.

already covered posative and negative terminals, that pic was took like 30 seconds after i tied the batery down and put the strut bar back on, i just didnt put them on yet
