im in the middle of building this dsm and i will bleed the clutch. about a week later when i get into the car the clutch hits the floor like no other. so i will bleed it again, feels like new. same thing happens. i have done this about 5 times. i also noticed the one day when i ripped out the carpet. it looked like clutch fluid was running down under my clutch pedal. is that my problem? where would that be comming from? i tried getting up in there but i cant find anything. and when i look under the hood i cant find any leaks. i would appreciate everyones oppinion. thank you guyes. hope to get some addvive.

Looks like you need to replace your clutch master cylindar. Replace the slave also as preventative maintenence :thumb:.

I agree with that... 100% time for a new master... if your not on a budget like the rest of us i would replace the slave and upgrade to ss lines if you have'nt already done so

That should probably be the first thing you should replace with any dsm, you wouldn't believe the difference a new master and slave feels it made me fall in love with my car all over again LOL.

:thumb:on the ss master to slave line.

Actually you want to replace the line that runs to the slave from the hard line. This will remove the clutch accumulator and give the pedal a better feel. It is unnecessary to replace the hard line from the master to the slave as it does the job perfectly fine (unless it's leaking).

i am on a very tight budget right now. how much does it cost to do this. also i wasnt sure if i wanted to fix all this ### i want to sell the car and start over. i ordered a fmic and a friend is taking the car to paint. and that where i was going to call it quits. but if it dont cost too much i will do it. also the throw out bearing is bad, so should i just replace the whole clutch because i would have it apart. its all stock parts. i only have 70k miles on it.

i had replaced the the soft line with a ss line and it made it better. but for the same price i got the full ss line.

full ss line is the way to go. no comparison to the way the pedal feels now.

Mach V Clutch Line - $40!

Can i just ask why are you doing all this work to the car just to sell it.. I understand that you would want to fix the master and the t.o.b and even a quick coat paint would help the sale value. but personaly i would'nt do anything more than what is nessesary. I dont mean you should go out and burn someone. but, how much are you trying to get for the car? after you spend all that extra money you would be lucky to see an even return on it.

i just want it to have no major problems when i sell it. including the cost of the car, i prob spent 2000 on it. but im not so sure i want to sell it now. i have no clue. im just worried i will do all this work to it and it will never pass emissions. i wanted to do internals on it and if i do that then i will just keep it. a friend of mine told me if i fix the problems he will give me 4500 for it. i dont know what i want to do yet.

also the friend that is painting it is doing it for free, i dont even have to pay for paint

I dont know about the laws where you live but here in ny if you have a 95 "pre-o.b.d.II" or older car emissions really mean nothing to you. thats why i specifically bought a 95. as long as theres a cat on the car thats the only emissions part needed. I beleave it's a federal law but i could be wrong so definatly check first.

for the clutch. the only way I can think of why your throw out bearing would go bad is because of riding the clutch or installing a new clutch kit but not replacing the throw out bearing. Someone sold me a car that they replaced the clutch and not the throw out bearing. The TOB made a vibrating feel in the clutch pedal. I like it, but I didnt know why it felt that way. Then after 300 miles the TOB started squeeling. I bleed the clutch and the noise went away. About 50 miles later the TOB fell apart and all of the balls fell out of the bearing. The pressure plate was ruined because the TOB coming apart shaved metal off of the pressure plate.

ya a friend of mine falled the emisions like 5 times in his 92 eclipse untill he just paid the money to get evrything fixxed. the kid i bought the car from said his friend did the clutch. but as for ridding the clutch, not me ### i only put about 20 miles on the car and it was doing it from day one.
