I was wondering what the purpose of the BOV vaccum line was. The nipple for the vaccum line broke off my BOV (don't ask), and so I was wondering if it's safe to run the car without this and also what the purpose of it was? Thanks!

It's purpose is to open your bov, and keep it closed. No you shouldn't run it without. When you let off the throttle the vacuum helps pull it open as boost pressure is pushing it open, and under boost it is equalizing the boost pressure on the bottom and top of the bov piston.

its there to control when your bov opens and it also keeps it closed. you can run around with out it but your car will run like crap. you will have a huge boost leak so youll run incredibly rich hurting fuel economy.
