My built 6 bolt(only 10,000 miles) was making a knocking noise when the motor was cold and would go away when the motor warmed up. I decided to pull the caps and see what's up and aside from slight wear/etc nothing seems to be tooooo bad. I think my problem lies elsewhere.
So, instead of bolting to old ones up i ordered some new acl's to throw in there, the journals look perfect but i just didnt want to re-use the old bearings since they were already out. So, my question.. is there anything wrong with doing this? Any tips when changing them? Also, there were no shaving's in the pan or free play in rods/crank.
Thanks, Anthony
