this is a pretty simple ???? i am blowing white smoke and the cooliant light has come on.. i am thinking head gasket but i am going to check the turbo and heat the car up then drain the oil but i think it's a head gasket but the ???? i have is what are all of you relacing your head gaskets with ??? i am planing on running around 18-20 psi on a daily and puting down between 350-375 whp any sugg ????? and if so prices and where to locate them ?? thanx

For a turbo to put that down with a turbo at 18-20psi you need a large turbo. Then you will get the feel of wanting more power.

Go with a Mitsu Metal layered HG. How many miles do you have on that Timing Belt?

Yeah, but to get that type of HP from a B16G you need to go higher than the 20psi level. You have to go higher than a stock HG can handle 24psi is the most I would push (NOT for a prolonged period of time. EX: Dyno maybe)

Another thing is that once you let out the stock "STRETCHY" head bolts they are trash. Replace them with a set of ARP's.

The cost difference between the 2 HG (stock vs. Multi-Layer) is not worth having to maybe do it again.

Have you taken into account everything that you need to replace? How many miles are on the Timing Belt that is in there currently?

Just wanted to mention that 1G headbolts are NOT torque-to-yield (stretchy) and can be reused, but ARPs are still quite superior.

I went with a cometic head gasket when I did mine. Also it doesnt matter how many miles are on that T- belt. If you are taking it off then replace it. They are not that expensive and its definatly the best insurance you can buy when doing that job.
