replacement engines

im new to all this i just bought a 96 eclipse gs-t last week and was wondering where i can find a new engine to put in it and how big of one i can fit in it.

Is there something wrong with your current engine? if not why do you want to replace it with "something bigger"

yea this is a dsm not a honda no need for a motor swap to make power . If the motor thats in it is good build it and have fun with it, the car looks nice from the pic

I wanted a GSX that color so bad . Really nice looking car (best color they ever made IMO), you'll find all the info you need to mod your car on this website, you don't need a different engine. The 4G63 is one of the most bulletproof 4-bangers ever made. Just spend some time doing searches and looking through the VFAQ.

IDK if jasper racing makes import engines or not but they are super strong and last a long time. they even put #1 at TDC so a distributor can slide right in (i know not dsm eclipse) but they have a ton of knowledge and a huge selection of component and drivetrain.

theres nothing wrong with just didnt know if you could put a bigger engine in it or not. im really new to all this ive never really been interested in cars or working on them until about 6 or 7 months ago when i decided i wanted to get an eclipse. i got the car in se portland for 5800 last tuesday
