Replace cam seals?

I'm replacing a head gasket and have the cams removed and I have a gasket set which includes cam seals. Car has 95xxx miles and I haven't had any oil leak issues, should I replace the seals while I have everything off as a preventative measure or should I not mess with them since they currently seem to be fine? Thanks.

Go ahead and change them, it's very easy, and you won't be punching yourself if they start to leak in a few thousand miles.

All ya gotta do is pull out the old ones, and put a SMALL amount of oil on the inner part of the seal. Press it in place and bam, your done. Shouldn't take more that 10 minutes.

Yea, you don't want to do a cam seal AFTER all is put together. It's a PITA to do the job 'after the fact', let alone having to tear it apart again just to do a seal.

Same goes with the lower mains: if you're doing the front, find a way to do the rear..and it's a good idea to change out the front main since you got that front end all torn apart when doing a belt since it's just right there on a high mileage block.
