i just have a quick question when i put the new cam seals in am i putting them in the the flat side of the seal towards the inside of the head or the timing belt and do i use rtv on just the cam caps or on the other half also?

Flat side does not face the inside of the head... faces the fender

You "can" use RTV but ive never had a problem with just a new seal by itself

thanks so much i have the exhaust side in right then on to the intake thanks alot i didnt wanna keep going if i was wrong but yea i have flat side toward the fender so the groove side is up against the head i thought it looked right but i might as well ask thanks again:hellyeah:

and the RTV goes on the OD of seal, not inside.

od? im not sure what thats short for but i had put rtv on the inside of the cam cap where i scraped the old off theres a raised lip on the cam cap i put it on the lip i think the lip lines up on top of the seal correct delta? if not uh oh let me know thanks i can pull it right back off i still have to wait for my gates timing belt i didnt have the heart to put back on a timing belt that has unknown miles on it :nono:

OD = Outside Diameter

You put it in the correct area good job :thumb:
