Im curious if I could replace the bearings in my 50-trim myself? I have a M50 turbo, (like a fp green kinda) mitsu 20g compressor housing with 50 trim wheel and mitsu 7cm exhaust housing.

I have the IN-OUT shaftplay. The turbo works flawlessly besides the shaftplay, but im unsure as how much longer it will last. the seals are fine. So, can I fix this myself? Or can you recommend a place to get this fixed and how much it will cost?

Also can a swap in some dual Ball bearings while im at it? I just dont know what/how to get this stuff. I;ve never taken a turbo apart before.

No go on the ball bearings man. You can however buy a new center section that is ball bearing for around 630.00. If you have never taken a turbo apart before, I suggest taking it somewhere. You are going to want it balanced afterward anyway. Check with Forced Performance on a rebuild. They may be a bit pricey compared to others, but why gamble with one of the most critical parts of your car and you know you can trust FP.:D

anyone can replace the bearings....getting it balanced is the key to having a turbo last longer than a 1000 miles
