removing trim above doors on 2g

so the trim on my talon is flaking and whatnot so im wanting to take it off so I can re-finish it but I cant figure out how to get it off without breaking it, so I figured id do some research instead of trying random shit until it either comes off or breaks
so anyone know?
does it need a heat gun?

Pull the rubber piece the creates the seal against the windows down away from the arch as it is press fit in there. Then you'll expose a set of phillips screws that need to be removed so you can repaint/refinish the trim.

If you are talking about the peices directly on the door they are held in place by phillips screws that can be accessed at both the very front of the door jam as well as the back.
