I heard the hardest part is the clip that holds it to the pedal. It's a pain in the ass. If you aren't going to put the cable back on then just cut it off. If you are, good luck.
I have just seen a lot of people have trouble with that little clip and not knowing the proper way to get it off. That's why I mentioned it. Overall, really easy job.
