Removing Stripped Screws

Okay, so I decide to finally remove the good ol' three piece wing off of my car. The sides just come right off, but then I pull the interior panel off to access the bolts for the center piece only to find multiple screws rusted and stripped.. I got those not messed up off, but a couple are all to hell.. I need to know how you are supposed to remove them.. Is there a technique, tool, etc I can use?

Are the heads just stripped off or is it broken. If it is just srtipped then Craftsman makes a set of sockets that will only grip in reverse, they have angled teeth that should catch the head and unscrew the bolt. You could also get some left handed drill bits. Those will drill in reverse and should work the same way as those sockets.

I would go with what Marc91GSX said, theres also this stuff from Home Depot or a store like that that helps with this kind of situation. I forget off the top of my head what its called but its something like WD40, but is used for getting stripped screws out.

Get some vice grips and take it out remember lefty loosely

take a drill bit that is a little smaller than the head of the screw and drill the head off and then when you get the wing off then take vice grips and twist the rest of the screw out and you are done.its like taking rivets off.
