stripped TB shaft screws

I've read the vfaq and Charles Monk's page on doing the TB shaft seal replacements.
Problem is, I've stripped the screws holding the TB plate to the shaft (which they warned about, and I tried to avoid).

One of the tech pages says the screws are 4mm x .75 thread.

What I need to do:
-remove the stripped screws
-get a tap to fix the threads

I've never done screw extraction or tapping before. Can anyone give some advice on what I need? (with size suggestions, pics or links if possible)
Advice on how the process works as well.

if you havent stripped the holes then you wont need to tap anything. i know theres a product called e-z-out and you drill through the screw and then stick something in and twist it out, id ask home depot.
