Well im pulling my stock exhaust off the talon. Ive gotten it down to the middle hanger and the rear o2 sensor. I'd like to be able to pullt he o2 sensor out before i remove the last hanger, beause i dont want to ruin it by straining the wires or anything.

There is a nut that looks like it holds the o2 sensor into the bung, do i just bust that loose and the whole o2 will come out, or is there somethign else i have to do.

I guess im back out to the garage, i'll check back in a few.

technically i read you don't even need it.. if you lift up your carpet by your front driver seat and take out your console you should be able to find the wires to just unplug it and remove it completely if your new exhaust doesn't have an O2 Bung. i welded a new one on so i still have mine in my buschur 3" cat back

If you do not connect this o2 sensor, wont your ECU throw out a code/CEL? I would think that it will since this 02 sensor is used for emissions to measure the pre-cat and post cat 02 levels.

I removed mine, and just left it hanging(securely) under the car with the wiring still attached. No CEL. I've heard of some people getting a CEL, but I didn't. There's also a way to simulate the rear O2 sensor signal by installing a capacitor and resistor. You can find it in the DSM VFAQ under the exhaust section.

That link is down, at least it was the last time I checked. (Runs to check VFAQ) Awesome, it's back up. Here's the direct link. http://vfaq.com/mods/O2bypass.html Or you can just ziptie it up somewhere against the body and you should be fine. All it does is let the ECU know that the cat is working. Removing it will have no effects on how the car runs.
