so, ive removed the powersteering from my car. is there a way to get rid of the pulley from behind the water pump pulley as well? its only there now for space out the water pump pulley .. washers maybe?

The power steering pulley is less than 1/8" thick so I would think a set of washers would work well for spacing it out. I'm sure more than a few have gotten away without spacers but I would be concerned about water pump bearing wear with any side load.

i would put it on a lathe, but, i dont have one. ive found some washers thatll work. maybe a hair or two width different. will try it and see

In my opinion you really dont NEED to take that little pully off, it weighs close to nothing.. Granted I imagine your looking for a clean apperance but its not really necessary. But yes washers of the same size or cutting the pully down both will work just fine.

i took that pully off my car and added no washers just bolted the water pump pully back up and no issues here at all its paper thin

i know its not that have, i just figure, ive got it off and will not be using it, why not get rid of a little little bit of drag. thanks guys!
