I've replaced a fuel pump on a GST and rewired, I have searched and read : http://www.vfaq.com/mods/pump-WB-2GFWD.html
But still have a question.

I am in the middle of an AWD conversion, the AWD tank is sitting on the floor, the plastic ring is off but I can not get the pump out.

How do you get the assembly out of the tank?
Pry all around?
Is there something else holding it in?
If it is this hard to get out, how do you put it back in?

As far as I remember, once all hoses are disconnected and the plastic ring is removed you should be able to pull it right out. You do however have to tilt it a certain way to get the float out properly though.

Mine must be just STUCK!

Everything is off, I took a screw driver around the edges to try to pry it up. But when I noticed I was putting little dents in the lip if the tank, I quit to ask here..
