Resolved 2G AWD Fuel Pump Rewire

I'm doing the fuel pump rewiring on my 2g AWD, and wondering if the ground from the harness needed to be upgraded to a larger gauge wire?

Reason I ask is I came from a 1g and followed the instructions on the VFAQ, and that didn't say anything about upgrading the ground wiring. But reading the instruction on this forum, they upgraded the ground wire. Now if I do have to upgrade the ground wire, the half that goes to the pump is connected to a bigger gauge wiring and grounded to the car, and the other half in the harness just gets taped away?

yes, the ground wire should be at least as large as your power wire - this vfaq page has the grounding info: 2G DSM FWD Fuel Pump Rewire Instructions

I followed this and it was perfect to the T. 1g and 2g FWD is alittle different.

There isn't any point in upgrading the feed if you don't upgrade the ground. Electricity moves through things in a loop not to things in a line.
