Removing a tranny on uneven ground safe?

for a little backround 1. I know extremly nothing about cars 2. 96 talon tsi is stuck in 4th gear and car will not move at all 3. im a poor man, who is afraid his friend is going to get injured or seriously put me in the hole to fix this beast.

if i read the topic right i would say not safe do it on even ground if possible but if not block all the tires front and back of the ones that dont come off the ground....

the rest should be common sense
