I had a koni yellow shock blow out on me, and I'll be sending it back to get replaced under warranty.

As a temporary solution, I'm putting a stock shock and spring back into my front passenger corner.

Currently, my driver side front is running a koni yellow with a 425 lb/in spring height adjustable coilover.

I put the car back on the ground an hour ago, and the driver side front fender is a half an inch lower than the passenger side.

I am going to get an alignment tomorrow morning to correct for the toe being off, but before I get my knoi back I will be driving around 700 miles.

The question is: Is it safe to let it stay that way for 3 weeks and 700 miles until I get my new Koni back, or do I need to take the time to unmount the driver side, comprss the spring, and change the ride height on the driver side?

PS I do not have a camber adjusting kit on the car.

Yes, and no. Its going to be very unpredictable with bumps, turns, braking, etc. But a tire is not going to blow out on you.

^^ He's right. It would make the car unpredictable. I personally would either put the other factory shock on to be safe. I'd rather have factory suspension on the front than different right to left.

One problem... I only have 1 stock shock.

I'm aware it will be unpredictable having a different shock and spring left and right. That's not really my question. My question is if :

1) I'm ok with a 1/2 inch height difference for 3 weeks, or of
2) it's important that I take the 2-3 hours (thanks to a stripped screw) to remove the driver side strut, and adjust the height up to match the passenger side temporarily, just to adjust it back in 3 weeks.

What does everyone think?

My Spyder is 1in lower in the left rear. I drove like this for months for 100miles a day. With a good alignment, it drove straight, but handled very weird. I didn't take any chances, lets put it that way.
