Uneven ride height fix??

Ss whats the deal with 2g eclipse sitting uneven? drivers side is always lower than passenger side?

Anyone figure out a way around this without getting coilovers?

Ive got tanabe df210 springs and passenger side is right at about 2 finger gap and drivers side is at 1 and half finger.

Its really annoying.

Should I just learn to deal with it or is there an easy fix?

All components have been checked and everything is installed right. I've read its pretty much just the way the weight of the car is that causes it.

But if the springs control ride height, and ive tryed swapping them and still have same problem, than what could possible be bent that would cause ride height problems?

Im going to try to take some left and right pictures of the front gap today and ill post it up later tonight.

Springs/shocks being bad is a good theory, but I replaced my whole suspension with new stuff and it still did it.

You have the engine, brake booster, etc on the left side that is way heavier than the trans on the right side. I have pulled the rf spring and cut some of a coil to even the front on my 1g's.

driver is in the drivers seat on the drivers side thats why you get that sag. the drivers side suspension get more wear and tear.

swap the passenger side suspension with the drivers side then you'll have even wear.

I dont understand how I can take brand new springs, install them and there is instant wear on the drivers side? also i have tryed swapping the drivers side spring with passenger and it still sits lower on the drivers side. It IS NOT the springs.

yeah maybe its your struts swap those over. If no difference is made a control arm is bent.

Which control arms do i need to check?

The lower arms that the bottom of the shock attaches to are brand new.
The curved control arms and the upper control arms were on there when i bought it.
Which of those would come more to causing this problem if its bent?

Maybe a half coil and then rechecked it. Rides the same on the cars that i have done in the past.

I have the same issue with all stock suspension. I replaced the springs and struts with a Tokico Setup, all bushings are Prothanes now. No change...

The driver side weighs about 100 pounds more, atleast for a spyder, I'm pretty sure its close for other 2g's also. I believe that is the reason for the unevenness. My spyder sits like this also, hurts my eyes.

I agree, my 97 TSI sags to the driver front as well. New gr-2's all the way around with eibach springs and swapped front to back and left to right no difference. annoying as hell...

I have the exact same setup as you MacDizzle on my 1g and the car sits perfect on the front but on the drivers side it sits two fingers tight and three on the passanger side. Tried swapping and everything and the setup isn't old anyway its fairly new. The only other thing i noticed the other day was that my camber is off on my passanger side rear wheel. Drivers side leans in nicely and passanger side is sitting not half as much. Never had a chance to adjust it yet cause working but im hoping it helps. Also sometimes in the past when i've checked it , it would be sitting even.....weird....but drives me crazy!

most 2g's will lean to the left or "list" when lowered. The exact cause is unknown, however, there are some important pieces of information to consider. This is assuming there is no physical damage.
If the problem lies in the front you will also, likely, have strange ride height in the rear.
Tired bushings (old control arms) can be the cause of a ride-height mismatch - even if they do not appear to be overly soggy.
If your gear is 100k old, it's likely soggy.

The only parts in the front that can affect this are the upper control arms, the lateral control arms, and the upper spring-hat bushing. This list does not include all the tiny washers/spacers/bushings also involved in the shock assembly.

The only parts in the rear that can affect this are the upper rear control arm and the upper spring-hat bushing.
