Uneven Ride Height!helppp!

A year ago i lowered my car with 2 inch springs and tokico blues front and rear. I gave it time to settle but i still have that "stinkbug" look and though it is helpful in cornering it is a bit of an eyesore because the front has no wheel gap showing at all and the rear has about 3 to 4 fingers between the tire and fender. Any help please??

the struts could be worn out in the front. that's the only thing I can think of right now. who installed the springs?

If it's also been like that since the since a year ago your springs must have been design like that. You got to get new springs and not that eBay crap or cut the springs in the back so they are even as the front.

thank you guys..im pretty sure its not worn struts cause they have been like that since the day of install by my mechanic. and cutting springs is not an option like many would agree with but thank you anyway..im thinking maybe they were installed improperly or they were actually meant to be like this..i was thinking of just buying a better set of sportlines or the pro kit but i would hate to spend $200 and get the same results...

It's just the way the setup responded to the springs/shocks. My car did the exact same thing. Many late model 2g's exhibit this. The only way to "correct" it would be even lower springs or to move to an adjustable setup. If you're going for the symmetric look, I vote GC's or coilovers.

tokicos are designed to have that stance. but yours seems a bit higher then normal... maybe you got a setup that was for a GSX and the rear spring rates are higher because they are made to hold more weight... you can check the part # to see if thats the case

you got an automatic? I know they weigh more and many lowering spring dont take that into consideration. They were made for 5-speeds. I got a similar problem with my tokicos. i just bought extra bump stops, cut them in half, and added the top portion to the existing bump stops in the front. It actually lifted it almost an inch in the front. I was thinking about swiching back to eibach for a stiffer spring too.

If adding to your bumpstops increased you ride height, you are sitting on the bumpstops with zero suspension travel. Unless I'm not understanding you correctly.

thank you for all the responses..as for the possibility of being GSX springs they arent..i checked the product numbers and it states for all eclipse models except GSX AWD. i figured the only way to correct this was to buy a new setup cause its probably made to look like this..

and yes its automatic..

i know many 2gs have this problem of the "stinkbug" look. but i really am not going to spend almost a grand for a decent set of coilovers since i plan on buying a gsx/tsi or gst eventually.

Looks fine to me, but I have to laugh at the guy who's riding on bumpstops !
